Access Bank Introduces Exclusive American Express Credit Cards in Nigeria and West Africa, Setting a New Standard in Banking.

Access Bank has introduced two exclusive credit cards, the Access Bank American Express Gold Card and the Metal Platinum Card, marking the first-ever American Express cards in Nigeria and West Africa. These cards offer exciting benefits to Access Bank's retail and private bank customers, including the Membership Rewards loyalty program and various travel and lifestyle perks. Interested customers will be able to request and use these cards starting on June 13, 2023. Access Bank's collaboration with American Express is a significant endorsement, showcasing its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
In 2019, Access Bank signed an agreement with American Express to facilitate payments from international cards in Nigeria. Now, they are ready to issue the region's first American Express credit cards, providing customers with a premium experience. The Gold and Platinum Cards feature the iconic American Express design and offer rewards, insurance, and protections. The Platinum Card provides additional benefits like airport lounge access, hotel perks, and exclusive status access to renowned rewards programs.


At the launch event, Briana Wisley, Vice President and General Manager of Network Partnerships EMEA at American Express, expressed excitement about the partnership with Access Bank. She praised Access Bank's expertise and innovation in the payment space and highlighted American Express's global reach and commitment to providing valuable experiences. The collaboration between Access Bank and American Express opens doors to a wide range of benefits for Nigerian and West African customers, expanding the scale and relevance of the American Express network.
