AfriBlocks partners with KyckGlobal to offer payment solutions for African freelancers.

15 Jun 2023

AfriBlocks, a pan-African talent marketplace for freelancers, has teamed up with KyckGlobal to introduce Visa's push-to-card payment method for freelancers in Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, and Namibia. This move aims to alleviate the financial infrastructure limitations and high transaction costs that African freelancers often encounter when receiving payments from international clients. The partnership will simplify payment processes, promote financial inclusion, and strengthen the continent's gig economy technology infrastructure.

AfriBlocks plans to extend access to Visa push-to-card payment methods to more African countries in the future, with the addition of cross-border payment methods from the KyckGlobal platform, including Visa push-to-account, wire transfers, and international ACH. The company is committed to providing cost-effective payment solutions for contractors in Africa while promoting transparency and trust among its users.
According to AfriBlocks CEO Tongayi Choto, the partnership with KyckGlobal will enable the development of new solutions to tackle the challenges faced by African freelancers in the digital economy. Meanwhile, KyckGlobal CEO Donald Boeding believes that faster and more reliable cross-border payments are leveling the playing field in the digital economy, and AfriBlocks is well-positioned to drive greater financial inclusion for freelancers across Africa.
