By giving students access to a platform that connects them with relevant employment prospects and information that can aid in their better negotiating the job market, AlutaApp seeks to address this problem. The challenges of the AlutaApp founder as an African undergraduate student were the impetus for him to design the ground-breaking mobile application.

He had high hopes and aspirations for his academic career, like many young people, but he quickly discovered that attending an African institution was far from an easy experience. As an undergraduate, he faced challenges such as limited access to educational resources, inadequate communication channels within the campus, and difficulty finding internship placements and part-time jobs, among others.

The founder then conducted research with more than 3000 students from six different colleges as a result of this. AlutaApp was created as a result of this research. To address these issues, AlutaApp offers a one-stop shop for all requirements for undergraduates.

The app has two elements that help students keep informed about events on campus: a Newsfeed and Tutorials, which gives them unrestricted access to tutorial videos on a variety of subjects.

AlutaApp also offers a marketplace where students can simply purchase and sell products, and the library feature gives students quick access to textbooks, handouts, and sample exam questions on the go.“ With AlutaApp, we aim to provide African undergraduates with the tools and resources they need to excel in their academic and personal lives," said Queenette Obongha, CEO of AlutaApp. “Our software is made to address issues that students encounter daily, such as locating educational resources and maintaining contact with classmates both inside and outside of their institution.”
