Andela Unveils Code Test Playback Feature on AI-Powered Talent Cloud.

16 Jul 2024

Andela has introduced a new Code Test Playback feature on its AI-powered Andela Talent Cloud (ATC) platform to enhance talent evaluation by offering real-time insights into candidates' problem-solving methods.

"The ATC platform now allows customers to replay candidates' technical coding tests, providing real-time insights into their coding strategies and problem-solving approaches," Andela announced. "This feature builds on technology from our 2023 acquisition of a technical skills assessment platform."

With this new feature, organizations can better assess candidates' skills, select top talent, and visualize how candidates solve coding challenges as part of their evaluation process.

A McKinsey study indicates that 90% of organizations will face a significant skills gap due to a shortage of key talent in the coming years.

"Andela attracts some of the brightest tech talent globally. The new code playback feature offers these individuals a unique chance to showcase their skills," said Jake Hoffner, Senior Director of Product Management at Andela. "Technical hiring managers can now directly observe candidates' critical thinking and problem-solving processes, gaining valuable predictive insights into their job performance and eliminating the need for additional coding interviews."

According to Andela, the ATC platform, along with the code playback feature, ensures that coding tests are conducted similarly to production code tests. This integrated platform streamlines the hiring process by helping companies source, qualify, hire, manage, and pay technologists globally. It also provides access to a global talent pool and optimizes processes like interview scheduling.

"It's crucial for companies to hire the right people with the right skills at the right time to achieve results," added Courtney Machi, Andela's Vice President of Product.
