As the Elon Musk saga heats up, Mark Zuckerberg is training with UFC champions Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski.

According to a Twitter post from Adesanya, Mark Zuckerberg looks to be training with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski—weeks after the Meta CEO agreed to a "cage match" with Elon Musk.
Adesanya's tweets about Potos show him, Volkanovski, and a lean-looking Zuckerberg posing at a training session, with the caption: "This is Serious Business."

For weeks, UFC president Dana White has teased a battle between Zuckerberg and Musk, telling the New York Times that he would assist stage an exhibition event between the tech CEOs and that "they both want to do it."
Musk's battle preparation has also been documented publicly, with images of him practicing with computer scientist and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt Lex Fridman surfacing a few weeks ago.

Zuckerberg has also been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for some time, winning two medals in his first Jiu-Jitsu tournament in May.

Although it is uncertain whether a battle between Zuckerberg and Musk will take place, but tensions between the two executives have persisted as their companies compete for dominance in the social media sector. Musk made two tweets on Monday in which he labeled Zuckerberg a "cuck" and proposed a "literal dick measuring contest" with the Meta CEO. The tweets were sent on the same day that Meta's Threads, Twitter's new rival platform, declared it had 100 million members. Last week, Musk accused Meta of exploiting Twitter's "trade secrets and other intellectual property" and hiring former Twitter employees to create a "copycat" service.

Adesanya and Volkanovski, two of Zuckerberg's top business members, are among the best fighters in the UFC. Adesanya reclaimed his champion title in April and is the UFC's No. 5 pound-for-pound fighter. Volkanovski, who won convincingly at UFC 290 on Saturday, is the promotion's top pound-for-pound fighter. Despite the fact that both champions practice with different teams, they are close friends who have regularly backed each other during their various clashes. This is not the first time Zuckerberg and Volkanovski have worked together. In February, the Meta CEO shared a video of himself and Volkanovski sparring in the Metaverse. Zuckerberg is a fan of mixed martial arts and attended a UFC event with his wife, Priscilla Chan, last October.
