Bank of Ghana Grants Approval to RightCard (LemFi) for Remittance Operations.

15 Jun 2024

RightCard Payment Services Limited, operating under the brand name LemFi, is pleased to announce that it has received official approval from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to recommence its remittance services to Ghana.

In alignment with its dedication to providing secure and efficient financial services while adhering to regulatory guidelines set by the Bank of Ghana, RightCard Payment Services Limited (LemFi) has successfully secured approval to resume its remittance operations in Ghana, collaborating with select approved partners.

This announcement follows a temporary suspension of LemFi's money transfer services in November 2023. The resumption allows RightCard Payment Services Limited to deliver its services in Ghana through reputable payment companies such as BigPay and ExpressPay, both approved by the Bank of Ghana.

LemFi is known for delivering innovative services and products across various markets through its specialized app. Additionally, LemFi is already recognized as an Electronic Money Institution, holding a license from the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom.

Expressing gratitude to stakeholders at the Bank of Ghana and LemFi's partners for their collaborative efforts in the service restoration process, Precious Ama Kwartemaa Oduro, LemFi's Country Manager, stated, "We resume our operations with a better understanding, and we are now better positioned to address the evolving needs of the Ghanaian market."

LemFi's return to the Ghanaian market is marked by a renewed commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction, strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders, and fostering financial inclusion. LemFi encourages existing and prospective customers to leverage its competitive exchange rates, zero transaction fees, and instant transfer delivery by downloading the LemFi app from the iOS or Google Play Store.
