No-Code Platform Disha Takes Temporary Break, Users Urged to Migrate Data.

15 Jun 2024

Disha, a popular no-code platform supporting creatives with marketing, sales, and payment processing, has announced a temporary shutdown effective March 31, 2024. Acquired by Flutterwave in 2021, the platform cites the need to reassess its goals and explore new ways to serve users as the reason for the pause.

While the closure is described as temporary, no specific date for reopening has been revealed. All ongoing subscriptions will be refunded. Over 100,000 creators, including artists, writers, and influencers, are advised to migrate their data to alternative platforms like Mainstack, Milkshake, or Linktree before the shutdown.

This isn't Disha's first hiatus. In 2021, facing resource constraints, the platform announced its closure, only to be acquired by Flutterwave shortly before. Flutterwave saw Disha as a gateway to independent creators needing tools to showcase their work and receive payments globally.

However, despite the initial excitement, Disha seems to have fallen short of expectations. The temporary shutdown signals a need for re-evaluation and potentially a new direction for the platform.
