Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures (VKAV) is a venture funding platform that focuses on investing in scalable, tech-enabled post-revenue businesses that solve complex challenges across various industries in Africa. The company has recently raised $43 million for its pan-African venture fund, with institutional investors such as SBI Holdings and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, as well as individual investors like Mr. Osamu Kaneda.

Verod-Kepple Africa Partners, a joint venture between Verod Capital Management Limited and Kepple Africa Ventures, is responsible for the first fund of VKAV. The company's portfolio companies have reached over 800,000 individuals and small businesses across nine markets globally, with six of those markets based in Africa, and created over 2,000 jobs to date.

VKAV has invested in a range of companies across various sectors, including Moove Africa, NowPay, Koko Networks, Ceviant, Chari, Shuttlers, Nawy, and Julaya. The fundraising efforts of VKAV have received strong backing from notably limited partners (LPs), including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (SMTB). This marks JICA's first investment in the African venture capital sector, highlighting the growing interest in Africa's investment landscape.

With this recent success, VKAV is well-positioned to continue driving innovation and entrepreneurship across the African continent. Its efforts in providing capital to post-revenue businesses that address challenges in various industries have the potential to create a significant positive impact for the people of Africa, while also generating returns for investors.
