XHiring Launches on Twitter's Platform

29 Apr 2024

Twitter, now known as X, has unveiled its latest feature, 'XHiring', aiming to revolutionize the recruitment process for verified organizations. This innovative tool allows these organizations to share job listings through their X handles, directly challenging LinkedIn's dominance in the professional networking and job search arenas.

XHiring was launched over the weekend with an announcement that urged verified organizations to participate in the XHiring beta. The feature enables organizations to showcase their essential job positions while connecting seamlessly with a wide pool of potential candidates.

Reports from CNBCTV18 indicate that XHiring facilitates the import of job data into its system, utilizing supported applicant tracking systems (ATS) and XML feeds, streamlining the process for companies to integrate their existing recruitment infrastructure.

To access XHiring, verified organizations need to subscribe at a monthly cost of $1000, as reported by Business Today. This investment grants them the opportunity to display their job openings prominently on their X profiles. Prospective candidates can then explore these listings using various filters like keywords and location, offering an enhanced job search experience.

One notable aspect of XHiring is the direct application feature. Interested candidates can apply for positions directly through the platform, simplifying the application process and eliminating the need for third-party websites.

Currently in its beta phase, XHiring is being tested by a limited user group outside of the organization. This approach allows X to gather valuable user feedback and make necessary improvements before a wider release.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, had hinted at such a feature on May 10, 2023, when he tweeted, "Interesting idea, maybe jobs too. His vision has now materialized into XHiring, showcasing his commitment to innovation and reshaping traditional processes.

With XHiring, X aims to transform itself from a microblogging platform into a robust professional network with a focus on recruitment. By providing verified organizations with a tool to connect with potential candidates directly, X is poised to disrupt the recruitment industry and offer job seekers a new way to find opportunities. The introduction of XHiring marks a significant step in the evolution of social media platforms toward more specialized and functional roles.
