Zoho Corporation, a leading global provider of business software, officially opened its new office in Nairobi today, marking its seventh location in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The company's expansion into Nairobi aims to strengthen its account management capabilities and meet the evolving needs of large organizations in the region.
Veerakumar Natarajan, Country Head of Zoho Corp. Kenya, expressed enthusiasm about the new office, stating, "Our Nairobi office will enhance our account management capabilities and enable us to cater to the specific needs of large organizations. Staying true to our roots, we have also partnered with ISBI to help SMEs and start-ups in Kenya gain access to enterprise technology, gain a competitive edge, and quickly adapt to the changing market landscape."
In a strategic move to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya, Zoho Corporation also announced a partnership with the Institute for Small Business Initiatives (ISBI), a part of Strathmore Business School (SBS). The collaboration aims to digitalize the operations of local SMEs by empowering them with the latest enterprise technology solutions.
Under this partnership, all SMEs associated with ISBI, both present and past, will receive access to Zoho One, a unified platform of over 50 business applications. This comprehensive suite seamlessly integrates various business functions such as customer relationship management (CRM), finance, human resources, project management, collaboration, marketing, sales, and more.
The availability of Zoho One will enable SMEs to swiftly transition their operations online, automate processes, and manage their entire business from a single, unified console. Furthermore, businesses in Nairobi that leverage Zoho One will receive technical support and product training to maximize the benefits of this collaboration.
Maryanne Akoth, Director for Programs at the Institute for Small Business Initiatives, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, "ISBI has been training over 1,000 MSMEs in Kenya for the past 8 years. Our research-driven approach ensures successful outcomes in capacity building as we advocate for enterprise formalization and provide effective management tools. Our partnership with Zoho supports SMEs through their diverse product portfolio. As the Director for Programs at ISBI, I am excited about our collaboration with Zoho and look forward to achieving further growth."
Zoho Corporation has experienced impressive growth in the mid-market and enterprise segments, with a three-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 65%. This segment now represents one-third of the company's business, with over 90 million users across more than 600,000 global businesses of all sizes benefiting from Zoho's software solutions.
With the expansion of its presence in Nairobi and the partnership with ISBI, Zoho Corporation aims to strengthen its foothold in the Kenyan market, fuel its upmarket momentum, and contribute to the growth and success of both large organizations and SMEs in the region.
