15 African Tech Ventures Selected to Pitch at Africa Tech Summit London.

The Africa Tech Summit (ATS) London has announced the 15 tech ventures selected to showcase their products at the upcoming eighth edition on June 7th, 2024, held at the London Stock Exchange.

These ventures will be able to pitch their businesses to a prestigious audience of African tech investors, corporations, and industry leaders from Europe, the USA, and Africa at the ATS Investment Showcase 2024.

"We are thrilled to spotlight these 15 ventures that are shaping the future of tech innovation in Africa," said Lauren Adair, Director at Africa Tech Summit. "The selection process was highly competitive, with over 150 high-quality applications received this year. We're confident that these ventures will achieve great success, following the footsteps of past participants who secured funding and partnerships through the ATS Investment Showcase."

The selected ventures represent diverse sectors critical to Africa's development, including renewable energy, climate tech, finance, healthcare, agriculture, e-commerce, and more.

Here's a closer look at all the selected ventures:

  • Decarb.earth (South Africa): A company facilitating the energy transition in Africa by helping businesses generate carbon credits from renewable energy sources.

  • Earthbond (Nigeria): Utilizes carbon accounting and climate finance to offer a one-stop solar shop to African businesses.

  • Melanin Kapital Limited (Kenya): Leverages blockchain technology to assist financial institutions and investors verify business legitimacy.

  • Newform Foods (South Africa): Leverages a continent-spanning research and development network to help food producers develop and scale cultivated animal products at a lower cost.

  • OkHi (Nigeria): Provides an AI-powered digital addressing system for businesses to verify accurate addresses, improving compliance and reducing fraud.

  • OneHealth (Nigeria): Bridges the gap in healthcare by offering digital infrastructure for payers, providers, and patients to access quality medicines and healthcare solutions.

  • PBR Life Sciences (Nigeria): Utilizes big data and AI to transform healthcare by offering stakeholders a data-driven platform for informed decision-making.

  • Plentify (South Africa): A smart energy company offering affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions through AI-powered smart home products.

  • Poa Internet (Kenya): Bridges the digital gap in African communities by providing cost-effective residential broadband.

  • Rana Energy (Nigeria): Provides sustainable, innovative energy solutions for a greener Africa, replacing upfront solar system costs with affordable subscriptions.

  • Sky.Garden (Kenya): A SaaS e-commerce platform for African retailers to start, manage, and grow their businesses.

  • So-Cool (Nigeria): An award-winning innovation providing clean and affordable energy to SMEs in Africa.

  • Teraki (Ethiopia): An audio streaming platform designed to address challenges faced by African content creators and audiences, offering solutions for sustainable revenue generation.

  • VeendHQ (Nigeria): Tackles the issue of low credit penetration in Africa by enabling consumers and businesses with verifiable income to access funds on demand.

  • Wfrley (Eqypt): An app providing promotions and instant marketing solutions for supermarkets, including inventory control, point-of-sale systems, e-commerce, and delivery platforms.

This year's ATS London promises to be a vital platform for showcasing Africa's booming tech landscape and fostering connections that will drive further innovation and investment on the continent.
