Microsoft is currently investigating allegations that Chinese AI startup DeepSeek may have illicitly accessed OpenAI's API to develop its own artificial intelligence models. The scrutiny follows claims made by David Sacks, an advisor on AI and cryptocurrency to former President Trump, who accused DeepSeek of "distilling" knowledge from OpenAI's technology—essentially suggesting a form of technological plagiarism.
