President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emphasized the crucial role of technology and innovation in advancing sustainable development during his address at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025. The theme of the event, "From Climate Imperatives to Economic Prosperity: Bringing Africa Into the Future of Global Energy," set the stage for discussions on how nations can address pressing environmental challenges.
In his speech, Tinubu outlined Nigeria's commitment to integrating sustainable practices and advanced technological solutions to combat environmental issues. "Harnessing technology and innovation is key to driving sustainable development," he stated, highlighting the country's strategic initiatives aimed at adopting clean energy solutions, implementing effective water conservation measures, restoring degraded lands, and advancing waste management technologies.
