InterswitchSPAK Calls for Young Africans to Showcase STEM Skills

Interswitch Group, a leading African company in payments and digital commerce, has announced the fifth edition of the InterswitchSPAK National Science Contest. It focuses on STEM subjects and targets young Africans. The contest invites secondary school students aged 14 to 17 from public and private schools in Nigeria. The aim is to nurture their skills in STEM and contribute to a knowledge-based society and sustainable development in Africa.

InterswitchSPAK provides a platform for students to showcase their academic excellence in STEM and compete for scholarships for university studies.
Participants will go through qualifying rounds, including online assessments and a national exam leading to the semi-finals. The final round offers a top prize of N7.5 million in scholarships for five years, a laptop, and monthly stipends.
The second and third-place winners receive N4 million and N1 million in scholarships, respectively, along with other rewards. Mentoring opportunities and additional prizes are also available.
This year, the prize pool exceeds 14 million Naira, demonstrating the commitment to rewarding more winners.
InterswitchSPAK will purchase JAMB e-PINS for 54 contestants, enabling them to register for the JAMB exam at no cost.
These initiatives highlight InterswitchSPAK's dedication to nurturing STEM talent and providing opportunities for success. Mitchell Elegbe, Founder and Group Managing Director of Interswitch, emphasizes the commitment to promoting STEM education and empowering the next generation.
