Nigerian Youth Invited to Participate in Policy Challenge 2025 for a Chance to Win ₦2 Million

The Future Pathways Development Initiative (FPDI) has announced the launch of Policy Challenge 2025, a national competition encouraging undergraduates across Nigeria to develop innovative policy proposals aimed at strengthening national unity and social cohesion. Open to students from all tertiary institutions, this challenge seeks practical and impactful solutions to Nigeria’s ongoing governance and political challenges, leveraging the country’s rich cultural diversity as a source of strength.

Participants stand to gain significant rewards, including a grand prize of ₦2,000,000, mentorship from seasoned policy experts, national recognition, and the opportunity to have their proposals published. Furthermore, the best proposals will be showcased at the prestigious Abuja Policy Conference on August 12, 2025, where winners will also be named Nigeria’s Youth Policy Ambassadors.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled (full-time or part-time) in a Nigerian tertiary institution during the 2024/2025 academic year and be at least 18 years old by August 2025. They must form teams of two to four members from the same institution and be available to attend the Abuja Policy Conference if selected.

Submissions will be judged based on feasibility, originality, potential impact on social cohesion and unity, and the quality of evidence supporting the proposals. This is a remarkable opportunity for young Nigerians to participate actively in shaping the country’s future policies.
